I booked 2 rooms for my family as I live in Bishop's and I thought that this hotel would be the best opition. It was terrible, the staff is not polite at all very rude and not professional. The service is very bad, is not cleaned at all. The check in was at 3pm but nobody was there I had to call them 3 times, they even told me that if I would insist calling them they wouldn't give us the keys for the rooms I will never come back here. I'm very sorry to say this but my family had a very bad stay

Great hotel with lots of character, very cozy and I had a great nights sleep! The owner showed us to our room and was so lovey and helpful! They even checked if I had turned my hair straighteners off when I called and made sure I didn’t worry! :) very clean as well! Thanks for a lovely stay :)

The location is great in that it's central
The rest remains a lot to be desired a suggestion would be complete refurbishment
Certainly wouldn't recommend to anyone

The atmosphere isn’t the best. The location is amazing though! It is just the staff that works there. I live downtown and have had people come up to me and explain that they have gotten sick from the food. As well as not enjoying the atmosphere as everyone seems closed off. I do not recommend.

Lovely bar restaurant area. Didn’t stay on my visit but definitely will re-visit in the future and stay.
Staff are friendly and welcoming, good range of beers on draft and menu looked inviting although I didn’t have a meal. I Will update my review in future when I use the restaurant and have an overnight stay.

Checkin was weird, and assumed you had cell phone service in the uk or wifi calling to check in. Nothing fancy. Asked for more pillows, was told 30 minutes, took 2hrs. Our side was not river view, not even sure there is a river to view. In center of town, was loud ouyside until quite late

Can’t beat the location but I’d rather do a cruise on the Bibby Stockholm to Rwanda than stay again

Odwiedziliśmy miasto i niestety trafiliśmy do tego hotelu. Pobyt czterodniowy zepsuty został przez zakwaterowanie. Pokój paskudny: brudne poszewki, brudne ściany i drzwi. "Recepcja" nie jest recepcją, nie ma nikogo kto udzieli ci pomocy, musisz dzwonić by ktoś udzielił ci jakiejkolwiek informacji. Od zewnątrz budynek wygląda jakby się rozpadał i w środku jest tak samo. Ten obiekt nie powinien być w ogóle udostępniony do użytku publicznego. Lokalizacja spoko, ale mocno nie polecam, lepiej zapłacić troszkę więcej i zatrzymać się troszkę dalej od centrum niż mieć do czynienia z tym miejscem. Zdjęcia są sprzed paru lub nawet parunastu lat, nie oddają tego co naprawdę dzieje się w środku i w jakim naprawdę stanie są pokoje. Proszę unikajcie tego miejsca za wszelką cenę.

I’m surprised by the bad reviews! First it’s central and extremely well located. Second it is true the reception area doesn’t seem really used but got lucky and met a woman that I suppose is the owner who was upstairs when I arrived so managed to check in straight away even though it was a bit late. She was lovely by the way.
And lastly the room was simple but very clean, bed sheets and towels were smelling good, bed super comfortable and a kettle with lots of tea bags and coffee sachets!

It was terrible,the entrance looked soo raged anyone could walk in and out of the building the carpets were inhoovered and old the windows had cracks and were dirty there are spider webs on the corners honestly it was terrible I was very disappointed

It's a disgusting, filthy, run down dump that should be condemned. It stinks of dirty humans and wet dogs, It is appalling!!!

Habitación amplia con baño privado, teníamos té y café para tomar todas las mañanas. No nos gustó que la habitación no tuviera armario y tampoco alguna percha para la ropa.
El baño estaba reformado pero un pelín sucio. Teníamos una estantería que estaba medio desclavada y no podíamos poner las 2 toallas.
El hotel está en el centro y nuestra habitación tenía muy buenas vistas!!

Great location in the centre of town, but pretty peaceful. Check in straightforward. Room compact, but had everything we needed. Stayed here for visit to Heritage Live at Audley House- easy to commute from here. Shops, pubs and restaurants close by. Would stay again.
